- If anything changes with the information you submitted, please request to edit the submission / If you need to make significant changes to your form, please withdraw your submission and resubmit.

- We will follow up with you about your submission by email. Please be sure to safelist notification emails from Submittable and check the email you used to sign up for your Submittable Account regularly.

In order to apply for a translation grant, the work of literature must be written by an Irish author.
Eligible genres: literary fiction, literary non-fiction, children's literature, poetry and drama. Applications are accepted for authors from both Ireland and Northern Ireland. If you are unsure if your project is eligible for a translation grant, please email the name of the author and book to online@literatureireland.com for verification prior to submitting an application.
Translations for which funding is being sought must not be published before the application deadline. The translation must not go to print before receiving a decision from Literature Ireland. Decisions are generally communicated to applicants eight weeks after the deadline.
